Coronado Public Library

One of the many great features of the Coronado Public Library is its DVD & video collection. The collection contains over 7,000 titles and includes movies, foreign language films, television series, travelogues, educational and documentary films.

The loan period for every DVD and Video is 7 Days for a small fee of just $.50 fee per item checked out.

The selection is kept up to date and is extremely diverse. I regularly rent two movies at a time and have a hard time narrowing it down to which two I’ll take home with me.

I also love trying out new exercise routines by taking out a variety of exercise DVDs. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a big fan of Tae Bo. My first experience of Billy Blank was when I popped in a video that I had rented from the Coronado Library. I love the fact that I got to try it out first before I went out and bought a series of Tae Bo videos and DVDs for my own.

Last night as we were walking home from the library, three DVDs in hand, we ran into our two of our good friends.

“Is it movie night?” Dave asked.

“No” and we went on to explain our custom of renting two (or in this case three) movies at a time to watch during the following week.

“Let me see what ones you got.” Miriam requested.

That led to a discussion of what movies she and her daughter had recently checked out and her opinion of them.

So it occurred to me that I may as well start telling my readers about the movies I check and what I think of them.

Mind you I am not a movie critic nor am I well versed in what the components of a well written review are. And my tastes in movies may not be the same as yours. But if they are, I hope you discover a movie you haven’t heard of or one that you’ve always meant to watch but had forgotten about.

Happy movie watching!
